Maxine TobiasInternationally renowned Yoga Teacher and therapist Maxine Tobias comes from a background in movement and dance. She taught English and Drama in schools in England and built a successful drama department in a Secondary School in the East End of London. She went on to teach in France and Switzerland, where she was introduced to the works of Jiddu Krishnamurti at his Summer Lecture series.

She became a devoted student of Yogacharya BKS Iyengar and for many years she dedicated herself to teaching Yoga in Adult Education for The Inner London Educational Authority. She served on the committee, edited the first Iyengar Newsletter in the UK and ran one of the first Iyengar Teacher Training programmes.

She received an Advanced certificate directly from him, one of the earliest he  ever awarded, for her dedication and achievement in Yoga.  Having had an interest in nutrition and nature cure, her passion is the connection between biological cell medicine and cell yoga as an anti aging protocol. She shows that yoga is not merely an incredibly powerful system of body movement, but that it primarily awakens the inner potential of human creative energy.  Therefore, in the words of Deepak Chopra, “…the field of human life is open and unbounded. At the deepest level your body is ageless, your mind timeless.”

Maxine Tobias is the author of three books.
